Lydd - Round 1 2026

WEEKEND DETAILS

Round 1 - Lydd - 18 & 19 APRIL

Excited for this weekend? We are.

As always it’s taken a lot of work from a team who are all volunteers, so a HUGE THANK YOU to everyone who has helped get us ready for this weekend and a HUGE THANK YOU to the team who will make it happen over the weekend.

Your weekend details are here…..it might take you until the weekend to read through them #comprehensve!

PIT SPACE IS ‘SNUG’

Please can you all:

  • Breathe in and pitch snuggly close together.
  • NO additional vehicles in the PITS, any cars you are not working from must be parked in the overflow car park.
  • No camping in the pits other than in your main kart support vehicle (ie van, motorhome etc) and you must be self sufficient remember no showers available to this in the pits.

It’s going to be tight, but we will al fit IF we use the space fairly and efficiently to help each other out ??

FORMULA A

(And any other class who exceed max grid this year)

Is going to be mega this year ????

We know the overall preference is for you to race together and big grids equals more fun.

We will not cap demand this year, but this does mean where entries go over max grid (34 at Lydd) we will:

- You will run in 3 of 4 heats (or heaven forbid 3 from 5 eek)

- Run short B Final with top 10 qualifying to join 24 already gridded for the A Final.

- If by the Saturday lunchtime it’s clear the on the day numbers have dropped to max grid (34) or below then we will revert to 3 heats and Final and re-issues the heat grids.

- If during the heats numbers drop to max grid (34) then we will revert to one Final.

- Sporting regs have been updated and re-issued on the website to reflect this change and ensure points for all three FA classes are correctly allocated.

Lydd entry is brilliant in the 30s for FA but frustratingly currently at 36….so we are on the cusp of only 3heats and Final. IF ANYONE cannot make Lydd can they flag this to Kim ASAP please through admin@retrokc.uk email.
